Additional Bare-Tool Makita BDF451Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Driver/Drill (Tool Only, No Battery) Information
The hammer drill/ driver itself is fairly compact and lightweight, yet it’s packing a powerful 560 in./lbs. of torque. It’s got a super speed range of 0 to 300 rpm in low gear, 0 to 600 in mid-range and 0 to 1,700 rpm in top gear. But look at the numbers in hammer mode: up to 4,500 blows per minute in low gear, to 9,000 in mid-range and an astounding 0 to 25,500 in third gear. Wow. Sometimes, you may encounter a little resistance if you’re switching directly from low gear to high; if that happens, running the tool in mid-gear for a couple seconds completely alleviates any snag.

What Customers Say About Bare-Tool Makita BDF451Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Driver/Drill (Tool Only, No Battery):
I usually reach for my Bosch small drill for those works and use the Makita for heavy outdoor work. I bought this product and then ordered the charger and the battery separate. The light is nice too. I do like its power, long battery life and the control. The drill does a great job of drilling and the battery lasts a long time. However it is quite heavy for small, around the house, working with screws and bolts.
Once he used it he was hooked he bought a whole kit. Ny friend had a different brand with no happer feature. This is excellent the battery life is incredible,I have had several other brands before but Makita is incredible. I just used this unit at a friends house while helping with repairs.
